- Encouraged everyone to talk to 2-3 friends about what happened in Tallahassee and bring them to the next PBCYD meeting and start getting Democrats elected!

Vice President Amanda Fleites called the meeting to order and Ted Parsons led us in the pledge.
VP of Membership Raul Mejia led the icebreaker.

Officer Reports
-VP of Membership Raul Mejia announced the upcoming “Make Them Pay” rally coming up on April 18th.
-Vice President Fleites announced the upcoming roundtable at the Blink Monk on April 26th.
-VP of Communications Megaan Schraeder discussed current marketing items being worked on.
-Treasurer Michael McCall announced the current balance is $1,216.24 and about the 80s Prom coming up in May.
-State Committeeman Justin Snyder gave a report on the state pension bill, the gift ban bill and the gun/doctors bill. He also reminded everyone to tune into President Obama’s speech at 1pm tomorrow. 
Fact of the Month: 65-70% of US companies will not pay federal income tax this year. And Wells Fargo made record $13 billion profit last year however they received $18 billion tax credit for purchasing Wahovia, a failing bank.
-President Takeata King Pang had a statement read by Amanda about Planned Parenthood.

Guest Speaker
Pat Emmert, AFL-CIO President, spoke about the pension debate and supporting local workers with jobs.

Announcements
-FYD Southeast Regional Director Franco Ripple gave a re-cap on the Awake the State events held on March 8th, the Jefferson Jackson dinner to be held in Hollywood, FL and the possibility of a bus to make the trip up to Louisville, KY for the YD national convention.
-VP Fleites announced the FDP state convention is Oct. 28-30 and the DEC is looking for delegates that are preferably not already DEC members.
-Daniel Lustig spoke concern of an insurance bill from the Florida senate that could harmfully delay claims by insurance companies and about the state bill that would divide the Supreme Court between civil and criminal.
-PBC NOW President Mereditch Ockman announced their upcoming elections to be held at the COMPASS center on May 25th at 6:30pm.
-State Committeeman Snyder announced that OFA is accepting applications for summer organization.
-Craig Plazure spoke concern about worrying anti-choice bills in the state legislature.
