President


Takeata King Pang




Takeata King Pang graduated from Stetson University in 2004 with B.A.s in Political Science and Communication Studies.  She recently completed her Masters in Political Management at The George Washington University.  Takeata currently works as the Political Affairs Coordinator for Planned Parenthood of South Florida and the Treasure Coast.  In addition to serving as the President of the Palm Beach County Young Democrats: she also serves as Programs Director for the North County Democratic Club, sits on the Stetson University Alumni Board, and is the proud Puppy Mom to Morpheus (5 Year old, Manchester Terrier)  and Athena (3 year old, Chihuahua).  Takeata's passion for government and politics is fueled by her belief in person to person politics.  "I am working to change the world one person at a time!"



Executive Vice President

Amanda Flietes

Amanda Fleites joined the PBCYDs in 2010. Her first board position was V.P. of Communications. In December 2010, Amanda was elected the Executive Vice President of the PBCYDs. In addition to serving as E.V.P., Amanda also serves as secretary to the Democratic Hispanic Caucus – Palm Beach County Chapter, the Zone 8 leader, and Precinct #4174 captain.


Amanda graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2002 with a B.A. in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs. She currently lives in Boca Raton, and is employed at Biotest Pharmaceuticals Corporation. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys kayaking, baking, and scrapbooking.

Isidro Raul Mejia

Isidro Raul Mejia was born in Garden City, Kansas to Mexican immigrants. As a child, Raul grew up in South Florida where he developed a strong appreciation for diversity and community values. Raul, as his family and friends know him, graduated from Stetson

University with his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Throughout his time at Stetson, Raul was Vice-President of Stetson’s College Democrats; Chairman of the Florida College Democrats’ Hispanic Caucus; and an Intern for the Obama 2008, Campaign

for Change. Since returning to Palm Beach County Raul has been involved with the Young Democrats, the Executive Board of the Palm Beach County Democratic Executive Committee, and is the new President of the Palm Beach County Democratic Hispanic

Caucus. Raul works for G4S, Compliance & Investigations, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Moreover, Raul looks forward to helping expand liberal ideals throughout Palm Beach County and Florida.


Raul loves working for the underprivileged, having dinner with his family, coaching soccer, and reading. Additionally, Raul enjoys soccer, boxing, football, basketball, and baseball. If he is not at Rocco’s Tacos Raul can be found around West Palm Beach at

social events or reaching out to the community.


Vice President of Communications


Megaan Schraeder

Megaan Schraeder was born in Miami in 1984 as a third-generation Floridian.  She attended public schools in Dade and Broward counties from pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade.  Miss Schraeder then enrolled at Florida State University in Tallahassee where she earned a B.A. in International Affairs with an emphasis on Latin America in 2005.  Upon graduation she started working for the Florida State Senate Sergeant-at-Arms where she first gained experience working for the state legislature.  After the 2006 regular session, Megaan returned home to South Florida and continued working for the legislature as the District Aide to State Representative Richard Machek, House District 78 in Delray Beach.  In 2008 she stayed on as staff and was later promoted as the Legislative Aide for the newly-elected Kevin Rader.  As a result of the unfavorable 2010 elections, Miss Schraeder left the state legislature, but continued to work for the public community in her current role as Public Information Assistant at Florida Atlantic University’s Department of Media Relations.


Megaan also currently attends FAU as a part-time student working on a Master’s in Public Administration.  In addition to volunteering for the Palm Beach County Young Democrats as the VP of Communications, she participates in activities at her church, St. Paul’s Episcopal in Delray Beach, and volunteers for one of their ministries that cater to young people in the community.

Tiffany Tran

Tiffany came to the Palm Beach Young Democrats in early April was so inspired by the work that the YDs were doing, she immediately volunteered her time and services. When there was an opening in the PBCYDs, Tiffany joined the board as secretary working closely with Vice President of Communications, Megaan.

She works at Schumacher Auto Group in West Palm Beach handling accounts payables and at night she is a part time student pursing her degree in Networking Administration at Palm Beach State College. In her spare time, she enjoys spending it at the beach, attending concerts or just hanging out at home with her many pets.
